Made it out early this morning, at least for a college student, (7-11) and fished around the island. The lack of rain was nice, and I managed to get several grabs, a hook up and zero landed. Saw a great blue heron flying around, which was pretty cool.Fished up a side creek with no success.as well. Creek is really clear. Suprised me quite a bit. The one I hooked was big - football sized- and thanks to the clear water i was aware of it. Good day...if i didnt have an ochem midterm on tuesday i would have stayed longer.
Nice report. Ochem--sounds like fun. I'm glad I'm through with that. I do have two midterms tomorrow, though. Otherwise, I would have been on the creek as well on Saturday.

I made it out today 4/23, fished #5 and #1 didnt get anything, no grabs, not a thing. The flows are so up and down I agree thefish are spending there time moving around, the flows are not letting them settle in and feed activily. Thats what I think anyways. I mostly used a #16 pheasant tail with a #20 olive midge dropper today.
I took my midterms and now I'm ready to fish. I'll probably get out a couple of times this week. I bet the flows will make another big jump and ruin the fishing, though. But, that's life.
